Generally olybdenum is used as the matrix. When other elements such as titanium, zirconium, hafnium, tungsten and rare earth elements etc. are added, non-ferrous alloys are formed. These alloying elements not only play a role in solid solution strengthening and maintaining low-temperature plasticity for molybdenum alloys, but also can form the stable carbide. This new substance can improve the strength and recrystallization temperature of the alloy. So, molybdenum-based alloys are used for high heating contact components, stainless steel stamping parts, extrusion abrasive tools, melting furnace electrodes, metal stamped parts, and spacecraft metal parts due to their good strength, mechanical stability, and high ductility.


What is more, molybdenum has good electrical conductivity and high temperature resistance. It is widely used in the manufacture of spiral filament core wires, lead wires and other metal contact components. Of course, it is often used in temperature controllers as electrical alloy material such as metal stamping parts etc.

Working principle of temperature controllers


Usually temperature controller mainly includes mechanical and electronic type. Mechanical type use two layers of metals with different thermal expansion coefficients mechanically pressed together. Its curvature will change as the change of temperatures. When the curvature reaches a certain level, the circuit is connected or disconnected to make the refrigeration or heating equipment work. Electronic type can convert the temperature signal into an electrical signal through thermocouple, platinum resistance and other temperature sensing devices, and operate the heating or cooling equipment by controlling the relay through the single-chip, PLC and other circuits.
